Trials are typically held at Mimi's Home studio in Bristow, VA during the day on Mondays - Thursdays. This is because most of the team is booked Friday - Sundays!

The quality of Hair by Mimi's styling requires the extensions to be 100% human hair. Hair by Mimi recommends purchasing extensions from Bellami.com. There are also additional options available on Mimi's Amazon store. We suggest a minimum of 24" and at least 240 grams of clip in extensions.

Before your event we recommend washing the extensions out of the box with a clarifying shampoo to strip off the factory sheen, gently pat dry with a hand towel, then left to air dry in hair extension provided drying device/hanger/etc. Upon drying, gently brush them out.

We recommend ensuring your face is moisturized by using a face cream for the week leading up to your event. The day of, please ensure you arrive with a clean face.

Hair by Mimi is willing to travel to any venue a client desires. We kindly request overnight accommodations at the venue where the services will be rendered and reimbursements for airfare and transportation if needed.

Yes, Hair by Mimi artists can return to the venue to touch up an existing hair and/or makeup style. If a new or change in style is requested a second service is required. Hair by Mimi artists cannot touch up another artist's work.
